Nominal

Each slide is counted as 1. The number of slides in a deck as reported by PowerPoint on the final slide number, or in Slide Sorter. (This is how we do it!)

Each slide is counted as a fraction or multiple of a “nominal” slide, from 0.0 to 2.0, a measure of the amount of work, kind of work, and time that went into redesigning that slide. Can be:

less than one for simpler or repeat slides

equal to one for a standard new layout and redesign
